12/20/20 - CFOL has been selected by the U.S Department of Veterans Affairs to provide Advanced Medical Support Assistance. On this project, we will help support the VA's Vision and Mission by being driven by customer feedback, unified Veteran data, and employees characterized by a customer-centric mindset to make accessing VA services seamless, effective, efficient, and emotionally resonant for our Veterans.

10/12/15 - CFOL has been certified as a participant in the SBA 8(a) Business Development Program. This program spans 9-years and qualifies CFOL to receive sole source contracts up to $4M in the NAICS codes performed by the company.

09/14/15 - CFOL has successfully reverified its Service Disabled Veteran-Owned (SDVOSB) status through the Veterans' Administration VetBiz process. SDVOs are eligible for sole source contracts and restricted competitions. SDVOs can receive sole source contracts up to $4M in the NAICS codes performed by CFOL, Inc.

06/10/15 - CFOL submits its application to participate in the SBA 8(a) Business Development Program. The 8(a) Business Development Program helps small, disadvantaged businesses compete in the federal marketplace. The 8(a) Program is an essential instrument for helping socially and economically disadvantaged entrepreneurs gain access to the economic mainstream of business society.

05/13/15 - CFOL was nominated as the GSA Mentor-Protege of the Year. The Program encourages and motivates GSA prime contractors to assist small businesses concerns in all small business categories, enhancing their capability of performing successfully on future GSA contracts and subcontracts. CFOL is partnered with Native Hawaiian Veterans, LLC (Honolulu, HI). The team of NHV and CFOL is the longest-distance Mentor-Protege team in the program spanning from Honolulu, HI to Atlanta, GA.

03/05/15 - CFOL has been selected to participate in the 2015 Atlanta Emerging Leaders e200 class. Sponsored annually by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), the Emerging Leaders (e200) initiative is an executive entrepreneur training program for businesses that demonstrate high growth potential. CFOL is one of twenty-two businesses selected in the Atlanta area and we look forward to the opportunity to improve our business operations, embrace growth, and heighten our reputation for excellence in business.

12/09/14 - CFOL has been selected to present at the 2014 National Veterans Small Business Conference. The 2014 conference is specifically tailored to enable procurement-ready Veteran-Owned Small Businesses to discuss potential economic opportunities directly with various procurement officials, program specialists, and contracting experts from the federal and commercial marketplace. CFOL will be providing compliance and proposal writing training at the conference.

10/23/14 - CFOL was one of 49 businesses from 13 states and the District of Columbia to graduate from the National Center for the Veteran Institute for Procurement (VIP). During the program's graduation, CFOL was presented with a Congressional citation for its contributions to the country in the private sector. VIP is a comprehensive training and certification program that helps veteran-owned businesses strengthen their ability to win government contracts and do business with both military and civilian agencies they once served in uniform.

11/13/13 - CFOL is accepted into the GSA Mentor-Protégé Program. The program is designed to take successful small federal contractors and enhance their capability of performing successfully on GSA contracts and subcontracts. The goal is to increase the overall number of small businesses receiving GSA prime contract and subcontract awards, resulting from mentorship and refined business practices.

06/11/13 - CFOL is selected to perform an Advanced-Level DARPA Study for the Macomb-Oakland University SmartZone Business Incubator. The research is intended to assist Michigan based businesses, institutions and organizations with a rich understanding of DARPA processes and the manner in which DARPA engages contractors.

10/15/12 - CFOL was awarded a GSA Schedule 738X [GS-02F-020AA)] to provide federal agencies with professional Human Capital and Human Resources services.

07/18/12 - CFOL receives the 2012 GPC Texas Star Award for excellence in the field of government contract consulting at the 16th Annual Texas Government Procurement Conference. Other award recipients included Lockheed Martin, Raytheon, DynCorp International, and Bell Helicopter.

06/13/12 - CFOL was awarded a GSA Schedule 520 [GS-23F-0042Y / GS-23F-0043Y(SBSA)] to provide quality financial services to the federal government. The GSA Schedule 520 award allows the federal, state and local governments to purchase services from CFOL through a streamlined process and pre-negotiated pricing that will save them time, resources and money. 02/10/12 - CFOL has been selected to present at the APTAC Spring 2012 Training Conference in Seattle, Washington. The conference will focus on the responsibility requirement and advising PTAC clients on responsibility and compliance issues. 01/06/12 - CFOL has been named 2011 On-Campus Partner of the Year by the Atlanta Job Corps. CFOL launched a program to introduce Applied Leadership Development Principles delivered through students in a seminar/lecture style format. CFOL provided weekly guest speakers/lecturers and evaluated case studies and leadership models from various corporate environments with Job Corps students. The overall objective of the program is to enhance a student's ability to become: "Employable, Retainable & Independent"

11/14/11 - CFOL has been chosen to teach DAU approved courses at The Contracting Education Academy at Georgia Tech. The Contracting Education Academy at Georgia Tech offers world-class training and solutions in the field of acquisition and public sector contracting for both the government and business communities.

10/31/11 - CFOL accepts an invitation to Washington, DC to provide train-the-trainer consulting services for the Association of Procurement Technical Assistance Centers (APTAC). APTAC is an association funded by cooperative agreements between DoD and state/local entities. There are 93 centers - with over 300 U.S. offices - forming a nationwide network of dedicated procurement professionals working to help local businesses compete successfully in the government marketplace.

03/07/11 - CFOL is selected as an exhibitor/sponsor for the 11th Annual Alliance Mid-Atlantic Small Business Procurement Fair in Atlantic City, NJ. The networking event is designed to provide over 400 small businesses with a unique opportunity to meet federal, state, and local agencies, along with large prime contractors in their industry.

10/01/10 - CFOL travels to Baghdad, Iraq to provide DCAA Compliance services to Iraqi personnel to assist them with the compliance requirements for federal contracts issued by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

09/23/10 - CFOL provides free seminars to help over 100 Michigan PTAC businesses learn more about accounting guidelines for federal contractors. The seminars will be held in Lansing, MI (Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce) and in Farmington Hills, MI (Wayne State University - Oakland Center). The mission is to enhance national defense and economic development of the State of Michigan by assisting Michigan businesses in obtaining and performing on federal, state and local government contracts. 07/15/10 - President Obama delivers an address at a CFOL client site in Holland, MI. Compact Power, Inc. recently received a $303M Department of Energy (DOE) grant and the President was on hand for the groundbreaking ceremony. CFOL successfully led Compact Power through the DCAA Preaward Audit for this Department of Energy grant.

05/19/10 - CFOL is selected to deliver a Keynote presentation during the U.S. Army Annual Small Business Conference. Over 200 Federal, State & Local Procurement Officers and commercial contractors attended the conference. This year's event was held at the Mission and Installation Contracting Command Center in Ft. McPherson, Georgia.

03/17/10 - CFOL is chosen to serve as the moderator for the Atlanta Business Radio Federal Government Contracting Forum. Participants included Terri Denison, SBA District Director; Chuck Schadl, Georgia Tech PAC Program Director; and Gwendolyn Miles, U.S. Army Small Business Specialist.

02/18/10 - CFOL successfully leads Compact Power, Inc. a subsidiary of LG Chem through their DCAA Audit. The $303M Department of Energy Grant supported by CFOL is for an 80 acre facility in Holland, Michigan. Compact Power will employ approximately 450 workers when the facility is fully operational. Compact Power is located in Troy, Michigan.

10/15/09 - Alpha Omega Technologies Inc. passes their DCAA Audit with the support of CFOL. Alpha Omega Technologies is an information technology company specializing in Application Development, Enterprise Solutions, and Database Services. Alpha Omega Technologies is located in Wilmington, NC.
